Ashley brings over 12 years’ experience as a Chartered Town Planner within a Local Authority to Red Twin. He has developed excellent interpersonal skills and a professional manner across a diverse field of work with a keen interest in renewables and mixed-use developments. Some of Ashley’s most notable projects include Wind farm developments, 20MW Solar parks (Cefn Betingau, Abergelli), large residential developments, Swansea University’s Student Precinct and mixed-use commercial schemes (Leonard Charles).
Ashley originally studied acoustic engineering and has returned to his acoustics roots to utilise his knowledge and expertise. He gained his engineering doctorate in acoustics while working as a Research Engineer at Corus Group PLC. For his doctorate he developed a mathematical model to predict the acoustic performance of modular building elements carrying out both on site and controlled environment testing to validate the model. This experience combines well with his knowledge and understanding of the built environment.
Ashley lives in Swansea and in his spare time enjoys cycling, badminton, running and playing piano and drums in local bands and orchestras.
